The Rotary Club of Mill Valley works with Kusimayo in Peru to build greenhouses for Indigenous peoples. An example of the club’s international impact is its greenhouse project in Peru, which represents a significant portion of its global service work. In partnership with Rotary organizations and local communities in the Andes, the club helped raise well over $100,000 to fund the construction of dozens of greenhouses. These greenhouses enable families in high-altitude regions to grow vegetables in harsh climates where traditional farming is difficult. The project improves nutrition, supports food security, and creates opportunities for sustainable income generation. Beyond funding, Rotary members have been actively involved in planning and supporting the initiative, reflecting a hands-on approach to international service.
